I am a registered Vet Technician, and worked at the Toronto Zoo for over thirty years as a Zoo Keeper. I’ve been breeding Bullmastiffs for almost thirty years, and French Bulldogs for almost fifteen.

I pride myself on producing sound, healthy dogs that conform to the Canadian breed standard.

In 1986, Paula rescued her first bullmastiff from an abusive situation – and her love affair with Bullmastiffs began.

Paula obtained her foundation dogs from some of the top Bullmastiff breeders in North America, finishing Championships on both the bitches she obtained. Her first litter was sired by the Top Winning Bullmastiff of all time – Champion DOX Fast Freddy of Shadyoak. Her second litter was from the spectacular Champion Blackslates Boston Brahmin.

Over her years in Bullmastiffs, Paula has bred both outstanding canine family members, along with top winning show dogs.

Paula first French Bulldog came from Virginia Rowlands. The ‘Frenchie bug’ bit hard! About Frenchies, Paula has said:

“These clowns are the most wonderful dogs. They have incredible personalities and we are thrilled to be contributing to the development of this amazing breed. Did I mention they were clowns?”

IN HOME PET CARE FOR ANIMALS OF ALL TYPES

In 2015, Paula fulfilled three lifelong dreams – she traveled to Australia and worked there as a zookeeper, she purchased a property on the water near Truro Nova Scotia, and she opened Windridge Pet Resort.

Paula has over thirty years experience as a Veterinary Technician, and worked at the Toronto Zoo for over twenty five years, where she cared for animals ranging from Peacocks to Tigers to Bats to endangered Black Footed Ferrets. This experience gives Paula the expertise to care for all kinds of pets, including exotics, birds, small animals, horses, dogs and cats.

Paula is using her years of experience to offer the following services through Windridge Pet Resort:

Windridge has occasional litters of French Bulldog puppies, from healthy, show ring proven parents. We do maintain a waiting list.
